Coop Ale Works has diffused their name all across Oklahoma and a few other states, not only by their friendly faces, but by their great tasting beer.

Coop opened their doors in 2009, “when 3 guys with a passion for good beer decided Oklahoma needed a craft brewery that delivers brewing excellence to our great state.” Coop prides itself on getting people to try new things and they encourage people to find at least one beer that they like, that is out of their comfort zone.

“We aren’t your run-of-the-mill brewery... We’re all about the flavor and quality. We provide full-bodied beer meant to entice and challenge your palate with high-quality ingredients and consistent taste. We want every beer drinker to find at least one beer in our lineup that suits them.”

Some of the beers Coop features are, “Coop F5, Coop Horny Toad, Coop DNR, Coop Native Amber, Coop Saturday Siren, Coop Spare Rib, and many more.”

Coop has expanded immensely, whether it be the team they have built or the beers they have created, they are not slowing down soon.

With their company growing at this rate, they decided to move closer to OKC and expand their brewery to a historically significant building. The beautifully built, 23rd Street National Guard Armory, which used to be home to the 45th Division Infantry, is where Coop plans on making their move. This building was built in the 1930’s, Depression-era, with a classic Art-Deco feel.

The new location for Coop is designed to include a 60-barrel production facility, full-service restaurant, an event space, and even a hotel. This plan is projected to be finished in 2020 or 2021 at the latest.

This new facility will be fully equipped to help Coop advance their brew making and expand their selection of beers.

Coop Ale Works already ships their beers to, “Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas, and Texas,” but this new facility has them planning on shipping to, “Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, New Mexico, and Arizona.”
